About the Proxy Server: Remote Authentication to Library Resources

The Proxy Server makes the more than 8,000 electronic journals and 100 indexes & databases to which the Libraries subscribe available to Wittenberg students, faculty, and staff who use an Internet Service provider other than Wittenberg University.

Off-campus users will be routed to the Proxy Server automatically; you don't have to do anything extra to find it. When you click on a database you will be prompted for your name and library barcode. If you enter information that matches our records you will be identified as a member of the Wittenberg community and allowed access to the library resources.

NOTE:The service may not work for those using the AOL browser; AOL users may have better luck using Internet Explorer or Netscape.
