Citing Online Journal Articles

APA Style
Format:
Author. (Year). Article Title [Electronic Version]. Journal, Volume (Issue), pages (if available). Retrieved Month Date, Year, from URL.

Example:
Mohochi, E. S. (2003). Language choice for development: the case for Swahili in Kenya [Electronic Version]. Journal of African Cultural Studies, 16(1), 85-94. Retrieved January 13, 2005, from http://search.epnet.com/login.asp?profile=web&defaultdb=aph.

MLA Style
Format:
Author. "Article Title." Journal Title. Volume number. Issue number (Year): Pages. Database name (if any). Access Date Mon. Year <URL>.

Example:
Mohochi, E. S. "Language choice for development: the case for Swahili in Kenya." Journal of African Cultural Studies. 16. 1 (2003): 85-94. Academic Search Premier. 13 Jan. 2005 <http://search.epnet.com/login.asp?profile=web&defaultdb=aph>.

Turabian or Chicago style
Format:
Author. "Article Title." Journal Title Volume, no. number (Month Year): pages (if known). URL (accessed Month Date, Year).

Example:
Mohochi, E. S. "Language choice for development: the case for Swahili in Kenya." Journal of African Cultural Studies 16, no. 1 (June 2003): 85-94. http://search.epnet.com/login.asp?profile=web&defaultdb=aph (accessed January 13, 2005).

Part of a Work (e.g. CD-ROM, or part of a larger web site)

APA style
Format:
Author. (Year, Month Date). Article Title. In Web Site/Product Title (chapter or section if any). Retrieved from URL

MLA style
Format
Author. "Article Title." Web Site or Product Title. Ed. Editor if applicable. Publisher, City. Publication Date as DD MMM YYYY <URL>.

Turabian or Chicago style
Format:
