- Communication & Mass Media Complete - Indexing and some full text for articles in communication.
- ComAbstracts - Basic index to journal articles on communication
- Academic Search Complete - indexes about 1800 periodicals; full text for many. Includes academic journals as well as popular magazines.
- Social Science Citation Index - indexes and abstracts of articles in the social scieces, including links to related articles (citing or cited by the article in question).
- Wilson Indexes - includes Social Sciences Index, Humanities Index, and the General Science Index. Contains only academic articles. Full text for many articles beginning in 1995.
- Lexis-Nexis Academic Universe - General News Topics - indexes many newspapers back as far as 20 years; almost all full text
- Sociological Abstracts - 1963-
- PsycInfo - Psychological Abstracts online, 1967-
- Business Source Premier (1971- ) - Extensive index to business and management periodicals; some full text
