III.   Databases for Finding Journal and Newspaper Articles

       ***Business Source Complete    from EBSCO - Extensive index to business
        and management periodicals; some full text -
       Librarian's tip:On the green bar at the top of the search screen, you can click on the
                Company Profiles button to get brief and long profiles.  This is a good place
                to find names of top competitors.
       
   
   ***Lexis-Nexis  General News Topics - indexes many newspapers back as far as 20
            years; all full text.  
           Also, under Step One, Select a News Category, you can select University News,
           which gives you a choice of the Chronicle of Higher Education or University Wire
           as your news source.

        Academic Search Complete - Basic, general purpose index to journal articles.  1/3 to 1/2
            of the database is full text.

IV.   Locating Journals:

    At Wittenberg:  Go to Journals the Library Has: Electronic and Print 

    At other Ohio academic libraries Use Interlibrary Loan.  (Note: you generally cannot request
        periodicals via OhioLINK.)

Note: Locating journals can be tricky, difficult, and generally exasperating.  If you run into trouble, a reference librarian will be glad to assist you.

Caution! This provides references to scholarly articles, but finding the actual article may be difficult and costly.  Also, journal coverage is incomplete and not current. Subscription databases are almost always better.
